2006 Pinot Grigio Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Lodi - California $6.99 This is a very inexpensive wine, yet was quite refreshing. We found it to have crispness and a clarity to it that made it quite drinkable. Though there was nothing distinctive about it that sets it apart from the crowd, nonetheless it was quite pleasant and very good with food. The color was a pale, clear yellow, with a bit of a green tint. When very cold, it had the taste of a green apple, and as it warmed up to room temperature, we could pick out a bit of pear. This wine comes with a screw cap, but dont let that throw you off. Screw caps no longer represent low quality wines. All in all, this was a very satisfying wine, and with the price, it gets a 4, a good buy at this price.
