Anyone who knows their Zodiac knows that Gemini, represented by twins, has a split personality.  Like Gemini, Gewurztraminer has 2 personalities.  When from the Alsace region of France, they tend to be dry and spicy while those from Germany tend to be sweeter, with less spice.  This wine falls between the two.  Though made from German vines from the Pfalz region, it is drier than most, yet it is sweeter than their Alsatian twin.  Valkenberg displays a clear taste of grilled peach or better yet litchi nuts.  It is crisp, with wonderful fruit aromas, and is a most drinkable wine with great versatility.  Drink with sliced fruit and mild cheese, with friends by the fireplace or with foods such as spicy Asian cuisine, poultry, heavier fish dishes, BBQ and grilled foods.  At $7.79 this is a steal, therefore it gets a well deserved 5: A must buy at this price.
