Pinot Grigio, one of Italy’s fine white wines is always a favorite.  The grape is easy to work with thus it has great consistency of taste from wine maker to wine maker.  Also the price range for this wine is well within the affordable range, regardless of who makes it.

Because of these two facts, we suggest you go to any wine shop and look at the prices, then pick one that’s in the middle.  Odds are you’ll get a good wine for a fair price. A drinking note: some might not agree but as a general rule, we think it drinks best when served very cold.  

As to this Pinot Grigio by Cavit, we found it to be representative of wines made from this grape; fresh, crisp, with a mild bouquet and very pleasant to drink.  It goes well with seafood, shellfish, chicken and veal.  We recommend you drink it cold, keeping it on ice throughout the entire meal.

Though we’ve had better Pinot Grigio, at $9.49 this wine gets a 4 - A good buy at this price.
