Our Philosophy & Promise

Hello and welcome to our site.  Whether you already love wine, are taking your first sip of wine, or haven’t yet found the magic in wine, this site is for you.  Here is our promise to you: We will only try wines that people like both you and we would buy.  We’ll only use words that make sense to the average among us and we’ll give you tips, hints and how-to’s, guaranteed to help you enjoy wine at your level, not our level and certainly not the level of the so-called experts.  After all, how many of us know what cassis is, let alone what it tastes like?  And really, who wants to drink a wine that is described as “steely” or tasting like straw or grass? 

We’ll share with you ways to find great wines at inexpensive prices.  We’ll help to put your new knowledge to use by teaching you how to give a great wine party without spending big bucks. We’ll teach you how to confidently taste wines without being an expert or having a trained tasting palate.   Most of all, we will speak your language.  We are going to make wine exploration fun, and if you want, help you grow your understanding and enjoyment of wine.

We hope to create an online community of people with common interests, where it’s okay to not know anything about wine, a safe place to “dip your toe in the water (or wine)” so to speak.  We believe there is no wine site like ours.  It’s for you, not for the wine snobs among us.

We hope you’ll agree and come back time and time again as we help you to not only enjoy good wine, but the entire experience associated with wine.  Wine transcends being just a drink, it can become a personal or family event.
